The “Saint John of God” Care Centre , currently has residential accommodation for chronic mental illness and psycho-geriatrics, in six separate, independent residencies catering for the different needs of patients. There are also four SEDs (the Spanish acronym for Day Care Service Centres) for over-60s with physical, intellectual or social disabilities. There are two SEDs in the city of Palencia and three rural centres in Aguilar de Campoo, Carrión de los Condes and Baltanás. At the Palencia site there is also a Clinical Detoxification Unit and a Therapeutic Community for drug addicts and Child Psychiatry Unit..

There are also three city centre provisions in Palencia:

1. A psychosocial rehab centre for people with chronic mental illness.
2. A out-patient care centre for drug addicts.
3. An out-patients surgery and two sheltered houses.
